Thousands of visitors were evacuated from the Eiffel tower on Christmas eve following the fire alarm beep. The fire alarm has been reported to have been triggered by a short circuit.

Between the second floor and the top of the monument, the fire alarm started beeping at 10:50 am. Following the beep, the visitors were promptly evacuated from the building and it was ensured that none of the visitors were harmed. The tower has been closed for maintenance and the investigation to take place.
