Five Arrested For Raping 19 Year Old Girl In UP’s Sonbhadra

On Saturday, the parents of the missing 19 year old girl reported to the police that their daughter had been unaccounted for a day. In response, a case was opened, and the girl was located on Tuesday, according to police.

She informed the authorities that the suspects  Neeraj Yadav, Umesh Yadav, Shyam Sundar Yadav, Vimlesh Paswan, and Bindu Gupta abducted her from her home and assaulted her sexually in a group, stated Additional Superintendent of Police Tribhuvan Nath Tripathi.

Following her testimony, the police registered a case on Tuesday under sections 351(2) (criminal intimidation), 333 (house trespass with intent to assault, wrongful restraint), and 70(1) (gang rape) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, he noted. All five suspects have been apprehended, and further inquiries are continuing, he added.

The accusations consist of criminal intimidation, house trespass with intent to assault, wrongful restraint, and gang rape. All five individuals are currently in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
