Former PM Manmohan Singh Passes Away, 7-Day National Mourning To Be Declared

Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh took his last breath on Thursday night at the age of 92. It is expected that a 7-Day national mourning might be declared in his honor following the cabinet meeting scheduled at 11 am on Friday.

  • In a tribute to the Former Prime Minister a state holiday has been announce on Friday by the Karnataka government. A seven-day mourning has also been declared by the state.

A holiday has also been declared by the Telangana government for all government offices and educational institutions. It will also be followed by a seven-day mourning.

Former PM Singh breathed his last at AIIMS Delhi and his mortal remains have been taken to his residence. His last rites will be conducted with full state honors.
