Hamas has shared the list of 34 captives to be released as a section of a peace deal to come to a ceasefire with Israel.

The captives’ group would be the first batch of the prisoner exchange deal. The captives include women, children, elderly men, and sick captives whether alive or dead. This also comprises 10 women and 11 elderly men between the ages of 50 and 85 among other children. The Israeli Prime Minister’s office, however, has denied reports of a list of captives being provided to Israel.

The negotiations between Israel and Hamas in Doha is being brokered by Qatari and Egyptian mediators along with the Biden administration. The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken emphasized the Biden administration’s efforts to make a final attempt to conclude military fiscal operations before their departure on January 20.

Trump warned of the consequences that could arise if the war is not brought to an end also seems to have escalated the negotiation talks between the two countries

Hamas has stated that the ceasefire agreement would be contingent upon Israel’s permanent ceasefire and withdrawal from Gaza.

Israel is continuously attacking Gaza and has struck more than 100 terror targets in the city over the weekend resulting in more than 100 deaths.
