Today the West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee once again lashed out at TMC Party Members, and said “I am still here. I am the final word (in the party). I and Bakshi Da (TMC state president Subrata Bakshi) will look after the party”.

Clearing the speculation, Mamata Banerjee reminded her party colleagues on Monday of her ultimate authority in the Trinamool Congress decision-making process. In the midst of speculation of a potential power struggle involving her nephew Abhishek Banerjee, Mamata gave the statement. She emphasized that all members are equal and asked all to avoid any confrontations. She stated that the focus of all should be to work together and be honest towards the party.

Prior to the 2026 assembly elections, Banerjee urged TMC MLAs to “speak less and listen more” while engaging with the public. She hinted at potential organizational adjustments among the student and youth wings of the party.

Despite anti-government protests sparked by the RG Kar Medical College incident, Trinamool won all six seats in recent by-elections with vote shares ranging from 54% to 76%. She directed MLAs to resolve local grievances and escalate administrative issues. This directive comes after the party’s overwhelming victory.

She was keen on members coming to the assembly. Show-cause notices for those missing three consecutive assembly days will be taken. Highlighting the need for grassroots engagement, she aims to strengthen the party. Lastly, she questioned the role of poll consultancy firm I-PAC in terms of accuracy.
