Today, Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line extension will be officially opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Additionally, he will officially open the 130 Kilometre Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor, which runs between Sahibabad in Uttar Pradesh and New Ashok Nagar in Delhi.
Passenger operations will start at 5 p.m. from today, and trains will be accessible to the general public at 15-minute intervals. According to them, the normal coach fare from New Ashok Nagar station to Meerut South is Rs 150, while the premium coach fare is Rs 225.
Six kilometers of the recently opened 13-kilometer segment are underground and feature the well-known station Anand Vihar on the corridor. According to the officials, this will be the first time Namo Bharat trains run in an underground stretch.
Over 50 lakh commuters have been served by Namo Bharat trains thus far. They added that additional construction is moving quickly in two other areas: Meerut South-Modipuram and New Ashok Nagar-Sarai Kale Khan.
One of the biggest stations on the Namo Bharat corridor is the Anand Vihar subterranean station. It will just take thirty-five minutes for commuters to go to Meerut South from here.
Three bridges have been constructed over the Ghazipur drain as a specific arrangement for the flow of cars and people at this station. According to them, two of these bridges will be utilized for cars to enter and exit, while one would only be used by pedestrians.
