New Delhi: India Health Exhibition 2025 commenced today at Bharat Mandapam with a dynamic start, setting the stage for a comprehensive three-day showcase of the healthcare and medtech industries. Organised by Informa Markets in India, this second edition is designed to spotlight the expanding scope and critical importance of medical technology and healthcare services in the country.

Running from July 11 to 13, the summit is a response to the sector’s growing demand for innovation, digitalisation, and specialised care. The event is expected to serve as a catalyst for substantial momentum in the Indian healthcare landscape, which is increasingly relying on technology-based solutions to meet evolving needs.

According to projections, the healthcare sector will witness a 15–20% surge in employment in FY 2025–26. This trend reflects the increasing adoption of technology in healthcare delivery and the growing requirement for skilled professionals across diagnostics, treatment, and support services.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by several distinguished leaders and stakeholders from across the medical and business domains. Notable attendees included Dr. Jitendra Sharma (Managing Director & Founder CEO), Dr. Girdhar Gyani (Director General, Association of Healthcare Providers India), Rajeev Nath (MD, Hindustan Syringes & Medical Devices Ltd. and Forum Coordinator, AiMeD), Ms. Veena Kohli (CEO, Vanguard Diagnostics), Himanshu Baid (MD, Poly Medicure and Vice President, NatHealth), Yogesh Mudras (Managing Director, Informa Markets India), Gop Menon (CFO, Informa Markets), and Rahul Deshpande (Senior Group Director, Informa Markets India).

In his address, Yogesh Mudras highlighted the evolving landscape of Indian healthcare, saying, “Healthcare has always been a priority for India, and we are now at the cusp of a major transformation. The sector is projected to reach a value of $638 billion by 2030. This growth is being driven by an expanding population, forward-thinking government initiatives, and a cultural shift towards preventive and self-managed care.”

He also underscored India’s rising status in global medical tourism, estimating that the industry is poised to reach $16.21 billion, solidifying India’s reputation as a preferred destination for international healthcare travellers.

Mudras emphasized the event’s inspiration from VOX Dubai and its aim to position India at the center of global healthcare discussions. “India Health 2025 brings together innovation, policy, and enterprise. This year’s dual-track conferences, like the ‘Global MedTech Connect’, are designed to foster impactful discussions and forward-looking strategies. Our launch of the ‘India HealthNext Awards’ also reflects our dedication to celebrating innovation and leadership within the healthcare ecosystem,” he added.

This year’s edition features participation from over 300 top brands representing various segments of the healthcare value chain—from hospital infrastructure and diagnostic technologies to medical equipment and digital health solutions. The exhibition is providing a common ground for networking, business partnerships, and knowledge exchange.

A key highlight of the summit was the release of a white paper developed in collaboration with Praxis Global Alliance and Informa Markets India. The report delves into the rising trend of single-specialty hospitals and their role in addressing current gaps in healthcare delivery. The findings advocate for focused care models as efficient, scalable, and cost-effective solutions amid rising patient expectations and infrastructural constraints.

The India Health 2025 platform is designed not only as an exhibition but also as a strategic venue to drive policy dialogues, encourage investment, and enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare across the nation. With robust participation from industry leaders, policymakers, investors, and healthcare providers, the event stands as a milestone in India’s journey towards becoming a global healthcare hub.

The summit continues over the next two days with high-level panels, technology demonstrations, business meetings, and award recognitions set to drive the conversation on the future of healthcare in India.
