Foreign Secretaries of India and Bangladesh, Vikram Misri and Mohammad Jashim Uddin met in Dhaka on Monday for high-level talks between both the countries. Through these talks, India has flagged its concern about attacks on minorities and their cultural, religious, and diplomatic properties in Bangladesh.

It is further believed that India has made its stand clear in the meeting that it is looking forward to maintaining a good, constructive, and mutually beneficial partnership. A key areas of trade, connectivity, energy, and cultural cooperation have also been discussed in the talks.

India and Bangladesh shared a strained relationship after Sheikh Hasina was uprooted from Bangladesh. Since then the attacks on the Hindu minority in Bangladesh have also been on the rise.
