India Seeks Positive, Mutually Beneficial Ties With Bangladesh: Vikram Misri

In a significant move the foreign secretary of India Mr. Vikram Misri visited Dhaka to strengthen ties with Bangladesh. The visit to place on the invitation of Bangladesh foreign secretary H.E Mohammad Jashim Uddin.

During the visit the Foreign Secretary Mr. Misri emphasized India desires for a positive, constructive, and mutually beneficial relationship with Bangladesh. He highlighted the importance of the people and government relationship.

The discussion covered many issues some of which are trade commerce, connectivity, power, water, energy, devlopment Cooperation, and cultural cooperation. He also conveyed India’s concerns related to safety and welfare for minority and regrettable incidents of attacks on cultural, religious and diplomatic properties.

This visit is a significant move towards strengthening India Bangladesh ties, with a focus on mutual benefit, cooperation and people centric relationship.
