Today in a statement over the present situation of Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that India has consistently raised the issues with the Interim government of Bangladesh over threats and targeting Hindus and other minorities.
He said, “The opposition of matter is very clear that the interim government must leave up to its responsibility to protecting all minorities.” We are concerned at the surge of extremists and increasing incidents of violence and provocation. These developments cannot be dismissed only as media it’s agitations. Even we once call upon the Bangladesh government for the protection of minorities.
India also showed the concern over the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das. MEA Spokesperson said, “It is our expectations that case against individuals as far as their concern this legal process are under way. India hopes and expect that this processes will be dealt in a fair and transparent manner ensuring full respect of their legal rights.”
