Ministry of External Affairs of India Spokesperson Mr. Randhir Jaiswal expressed India’s serious concerns. India on Friday condemned separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun for issuing threats to India’s Ambassador to the United States Vinay Mohan Kwatra and asked the US to take New Delhi’s security concerns seriously.
“We take threats very seriously and have brought them to the attention of the U.S. government. In this instance, we have communicated our concerns to them, and we expect them to address our security issues seriously,” quoted Jaiswal.
This statement was made in response to questions regarding a threat issued by pro-Khalistan separatist Pannun against India’s Ambassador to the U.S. Vinay Kwatra. Pannun claimed that Kwatra was being targeted by Pro-Khalistan Sikhs in America.
Pannun recently stated in a video message that India has appointed Vinay Kwatra, the Indian Ambassador in Washington, DC, to coordinate efforts with Russian diplomats.
He mentioned that Russian agencies have begun offering intelligence and logistical support to India’s RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) and NSA (National Security Agency) in their efforts against pro-Khalistan Sikhs.
Pannun also noted that Vinay Kwatra has already become a target of pro-Khalistan Sikhs in the United States.
On Monday, the banned organization Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) issued threats regarding the upcoming “Mahakumbh 2025” event, scheduled to take place in Prayagraj, UP next year.
