Iran Offers Humanitarian Aid To US Amid LA Wildfire Crisis

The Iranian Red Crescent Society extended a helping hand to the American Red Cross. It offered to provide its quick response teams and rescue equipments.

In a startling development, The Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), a Tehran-based humanitarian NGO offered assistance to the United States to help it in containing the blazing Los Angeles.

Pirhossein Kolivand, IRCS President in an official message to Cliff Holtz, CEO of the American Red Cross described the fire as a major catastrophe and Conveyed sorrow for the the loss of lives and property. He assured IRCS’s help to the US in every possible manner.

Emphasizing the experience of his quick response teams in dealing with natural and man-made disasters, the IRCS Chief expressed his willingness to send the teams, along with rescue equipment, and committed and trained personnel to the site. He assured the US that they are not alone.

He mentioned principles of philanthropy, high Islamic and human values, and the principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement have facilitated them to rush to their rescue regardless of borders, cultures, and languages.

He urged countries all across the globe to come forward to US help and emphasized the importance of global cooperation and solidarity to reduce the depth of the disaster.

Los Angeles has been blazing since Tuesday morning resulting in 16 deaths and destruction of more than 12,000 structures. Out of six wildfires, four are still burning while two have been contained. It has led to 150,000 people being evacuated.
