External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr. S. Jaishankar is on an official visit to the UAE from 27 – 29 January 2025 aimed to advance the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries and enhance the India – UAE relationship.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated, “During the visit, EAM will meet the leadership of the UAE to review the close partnership between the two countries and explore avenues to further enhance the bilateral relationship.”

Jaishankar will also be delivering the keynote address at the inaugural session of Raisina Middle East to be held in Abu Dhabi.

Earlier in December 2024, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited New Delhi for the 4th India-UAE Strategic Dialogue and the 15th Joint Commission Meeting (JCM).

During the visit, the UAE ministers met PM Narendra Modi and highlighted the growing collaboration between the two nations across major sectors including technology, energy, and regional connectivity.

Bilateral relations between India and the UAE have been strengthening since Modi’s visit in 2015, the first by an Indian PM in 34 years elevating the relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
