AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal claimed that Delhi Chief Minister Atishi would soon be arrested in a fake case as BJP people were agitated over the AAP government’s recent announcement of welfare measures like Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana.
Kejriwal alleged that AAP senior leaders would be raided soon, with this he announced to hold a press conference to reveal further information about the issue and to expose the attempts to hamper the party’s initiatives for the public welfare.
The AAP has announced welfare schemes to target women and elderly as a vote bank ahead of Delhi Assembly Elections. Under the Mahila Samman Yojana eligible women will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 1000, which will be further increased to Rs 2100 if AAP came to power.
The Sanjeevani Yojana promises free healthcare for elderly people aged above 60. This scheme will cover the medical expenses of senior citizens in both government and private hospitals.
In the counterattack, BJP claimed that the Women and Children Department and Health and Family Welfare Departments issued public notices that these schemes are not part of Delhi government programs.
