Former Chief Minister and AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal engaged in a war of words with Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his ‘AAPada’ remark. He called the BJP an ‘enemy of poor’ and accused the BJP of not fulfilling its promises.

PM Modi in a speech at Ramlila Ground during the inauguration of multi-development projects at Ashok Vihar in New Delhi stated that he could have made a ‘Sheesh Mahal for himself’ but instead committed himself to providing homes to underprivileged people. He took a jab at AAP by calling the government in Delhi an ‘AAPda’ or ‘disaster’.

Responding to the speech of PM Modi, the former chief minister alleged him of accusing Delhi people and the government chosen by them for 39 minutes out of his 43-minute speech.

Kejriwal mentioned that both BJP and AAP came to power at the center and the state at the same time in 2015 but when it comes to their achievements then even three hours would not be enough for AAP.

Addressing Modi’s ‘Sheesh Mahal’ remarks, Kejriwal alleged that one who built a Rs 2,700 crore house, travels in an Rs 8,400 crore airplane, and wears a Rs 10 lakh worth of suit should not say that. He mentioned that he doesn’t indulge in personal accusations or politics of accuses.

He accused the BJP of being the enemy of the poor as they have made two lakh people homeless by demolishing slums in Delhi.

He alleged that PM Modi did not fulfill his promise and pointed towards BJP’s ‘Sankalpa Patra’ of 2020 according to which they had to provide pucca houses to everyone by 2022 however he mentioned that only 4700 houses have been handed over while Delhi has 4 lakh jhuggis and 15 lakh people needing homes.
