Former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that the Aam Aadmi Party will not make any alliance with the Congress Party for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections. He said that AAP will fight on ‘its own strength.’ He said, “There is no possibility of any alliance with Congress.”
Assembly elections in Delhi are going to be held in early 2025. AAP denied any possibility of an alliance in the national capital. In the Lok Sabha election, the BJP won all the 7 seats in Delhi. The Congress and AAP leaders have clarified that there won’t be an alliance for the upcoming Assembly elections. The seat-sharing arrangement between the two parties was limited to the Lok Sabha polls and won’t extend to the state elections. AAP reiterated its stance against allying with other parties.
In a recent meeting, it was made clear that the Congress would contest around 70 seats alone. Additionally, it was stated that the Congress would have performed better in the Lok Sabha elections if it hadn’t allied with the AAP.
