Maharashtra CM: Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis Meet Virtually

Amid the ongoing deadlock over Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis held a virtual meeting to discuss who will be the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra .

Eknath shinde and Fadnavis had a virtual meeting on 3rd December 2024 this meeting between Fadnavis and Shinde is seen as a crucial step in resolving the cm deadlock.

BJP emerged as the biggest winner in Maharashtrian assembly election by securing total of 132 seats out of 280 , while Eknath Shinde from Shiv Sena won 57 seats and Ajit Pawar from NCP won total of 41 seats. These three parties joined mahayuti alliance.

The BJP is set to hold a legislative party meeting to finalize it’s leadership. Shiv sena leader Shambhu Raj Desai has stated that “the decision of three leaders Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar regarding the CM post would be acceptable to all MLA’s of mahayuti alliance”. On the other hand Shinde has also stated that “he will respect the BJP’S decision “.
