Maharashtra: Fadnavis To Become CM, Shinde, Pawar To Take Charge As Dy CMs

A resounding victory in Maharashtra’s assembly polls, BJP led alliance Mahayuti along with RSS backs, Fadnavis as the ideal leader, paving his way towards CM seat. Alliance won 235 seats in the 288-member House and the speculations started among all, the suspense grew over to have the name of the CM.

Though, it was earlier decided already that the alliance will amicably have a name of CM later on. The two prominent names which came out were either of Shiv Sena (Shinde) Chief Eknath Shinde or Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devendra Fadnavis.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) played a vital role in the elections too. In order to encourage BJP voters to cast ballots, the RSS organized 60,000 small gatherings throughout the state.

It started a campaign called “Sajag Raho”—”be alert, be vigilant”—to support the BJP’s campaign in the assembly elections. So, there choice of Fadnavis being elected. “The RSS’s concern is that Maharashtra, with such a massive mandate now, should have an able administrator and visionary who can lead the state with a firm hand,”
