The Mahayuti Alliance leaders Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar after achieving an incredible success in the Maharashtra elections met Governor CP Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai on Wednesday to stake their claim to form government.
BJP witnessed a massive succes in Maharashtra by securing 132 out of 288 seats. Further, BJP along with its allies, Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) led by Ajit Pawar and the Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde through Mahayuti coalition has a majority of 230 seats.
BJP’s remarkable success in this election has provided it with the opportunity to back Devendra Fadnavis as the leader of the Maharashtra BJP Legislative Party and the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Meanwhile, rumors suggest that Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar might serve as the Deputy Chief Ministers.
It is believed that the coalition parties have also reached a conclusion to refrain from allocating ministries to individuals facing serious allegations. The swearing in ceremony will be held at Azad Maidan in Mumbai on December 5 at 5:30 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
