On Saturday, ‘Hala Modi’ was organized with the Indian diaspora at the Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Sports Complex in order to welcome Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

PM Modi started addressing the audience with “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” He stated that he was happy to see the diversity of people from different states of India in Kuwait and called it a “Mini-Hindustan”.

He added, “The Kuwaiti government and its residents have a lot of respect for Indians when I talk to them. I want to celebrate your capabilities.” PM Modi invited the Indian diaspora members to come visit India and experience the festival season, the Kumbh mela and Republic Day. He also encouraged them to promote travelling to India to Kuwaiti citizens as well.

The journey toward a developed India, or Viksit Bharat, cannot be completed without the active participation of the Indian diaspora. Therefore, he said, “I invite all of you to join in the spirit of Viksit Bharat. ” “In January 2025, we will celebrate a month full of national festivals. From January 8th to 10th, Bhubaneswar will host the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas, where people from around the world will visit India to commemorate this occasion,” he said.
