A 45-year-old man who killed 12 people, including 2 children in a small town in Montenegro died by suicide on Thursday. The man has been identified as Aco Martinovic.
He first opened fire at a restaurant in Centinje on Wednesday afternoon killing four people. Later, he killed eight people at three other locations. In addition, four more people suffered life-threatening injuries with one still being in a critical condition.
After engaging in a conflict with visitors in the restaurant, Martinovic went home and returned to the restaurant with a weapon and started shooting. According to the Police, he was overindulged in alcohol and had a history of illegal possession of weapons.
He was later located by the police near his home and attempted suicide on realizing his dire situation in the early hours of Thursday. He was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
