In Kurla, days after a BEST bus killed seven people, police reported on Sunday that a motorcyclist was struck by a transport body’s electric bus in the Govandi neighborhood.
“The accident happened late on Saturday night at the Shivaji Nager junction in Govandi,” a representative said. “The victim was run over when his two-wheeler collided with one of the bus’s rear tires as the bus was traveling from Shivaji Nagar to the Kurla bus depot,” the official stated.
According to him, Dikshit Vinod Rajput, the victim, had a serious head injury and was taken to Rajawadi Hospital, where the medical staff pronounced him dead before to his admittance.Vinod Aabaji Rankhambe, 39, the bus driver, has been taken into custody by the police.
