After the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Trinamool Congress has also slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for a post on X on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
TMC leader Kunal Ghosh said, “The post of Rahul Gandhi is incorrect and is not acceptable. We are commemorating the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose…We don’t know whether the theory regarding the air crash accident of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is correct or not.”
“The date of death that Rahul Gandhi has mentioned is incorrect, he should correct it,” the TMC leader further added.
Rahul Gandhi had shared an image on social media to celebrate Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s 128th birth anniversary. The post, however, ignited controversy as the TMC and the BJP noted that the mention of Netaji’s death date as August 18, 1945, a claim that has been highly disputed among his supporters and followers.
Previously, Union minister and BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar slammed Rahul Gandhi and asked him to issue an apology within 24 hours for disrespecting Netaji.
He wrote in a post on X, “I strongly protest the claim that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose died on August 18, 1945, as stated in social media posts by Rahul Gandhi. I also demand that Rahul Gandhi apologise within the next 24 hours for showing disrespect to Netaji, who was the first Prime Minister of India.”
He urged Netaji’s supporters to raise their concerns again and further wrote, “I appeal to all of Netaji’s followers to raise your voices by sharing this demand.”
