Three pro-Khalistan terrorists were neutralized in a joint operation by the Uttar Pradesh and Punjab police in the Pilibhit district on Monday. The encounter resulted in the recovery of a significant cache of weapons, including two AK-series assault rifles and two Glock pistols.
According to authorities, the terrorists were linked to a grenade attack on a police post in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district on December 19. The blast occurred at the abandoned Wadala Bangar police post in Kalanaur Tehsil, Gurdaspur district, and was the second explosion in the district within 48 hours. This incident marked the eighth such occurrence in Punjab since November 24.
Fortunately, despite the heightened police presence in the area, no casualties or property damage were reported. The successful operation is a testament to the coordinated efforts of the Uttar Pradesh and Punjab police in combating terrorism and ensuring public safety.
