Securing a landslide victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the party workers at BJP’s headquarters on Saturday evening at around 8 pm.
He is anticipated to reach the BJP headquarters on Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Marg at approximately 7:45 pm.
In the Delhi Assembly election held across 70 constituencies, the BJP has already crossed the majority mark of 36 seats and is leading with 47 seats, while AAP stands at 23.
BJP has marked its success against AAP by defeating many of its senior leaders including AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Somnath Bharti among others.
As the saffron party is set to return to power in Delhi after 27 years, BJP party workers are overjoyed by their success. BJP workers and its supporters danced to the beats of ‘dhol’, waved party flags, and created a festive atmosphere.
Delhi BJP Chief Virendra Sachdeva, Union Minister Harsh Malhotra, and party National Vice President Baijayant Panda were also present at the office earlier among various other leaders.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah commending the BJP workers and party leaders wrote on X, “I heartily congratulate all the workers of @BJP4Delhi who worked day and night for this grand victory in Delhi, BJP National President Mr. @JPNadda ji and State President Mr. @Virend_Sachdeva ji.”
BJP National President JP Nadda mentioned that the historic mandate reflects the people’s trust in PM Modi’s vision for a brighter and more progressive future for Delhi. He wrote, “My deep gratitude to the people of Delhi for choosing integrity over corruption, truth over lies, and a government truly committed to working for their welfare.”
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman commented on the outcome, saying, “Indeed, I am happy to know. Delhi needs a government that serves the people.”
