PM Modi Keeps Promise, Meets 101-Year-Old Ex-IFS Officer In Kuwait

In a heartwarming gesture Prime Minister Narendra Modi met 101-year-old former Indian foreign service (IFS) officer Mangal Sain Handa. The meeting was personally requested by Handa’s Grand Daughter, Shreya Juneja through social media platform she prompted Modi Ji to meet her Grand Father during his visit to Kuwait.

After that PM Modi replied, “Absolutely! I look forward to meeting Mangal Sain Handa ji in Kuwait today”. The handa family was deeply moved by the gesture of Narendra Modi, with mangal’s son Dilip expressing his gratitude to PM Modi. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” he said. “PM Modi ji made it clear that he had come specifically to meet my father “.

During his visit , PM Modi also met with Abdullateef Alnesef and Abdullah Baron , who had published and translated india epics (Mahabharata and Ramayana) into Arabic. PM modi signed the books, and Alnesef described the moment as a ‘Great honour’.

The visit marks the first time in 43 years an Indian Prime Minister has visited Kuwait aiming to strengthen India – Kuwait ties across various sectors.
