PM Modi Arrives In Paris, Says ‘Will Focus On AI, Tech And Innovation’

PM Narendra Modi arrives in Paris, set to engage in futuristic programmes on AI, tech and innovation, bolstering India-France cooperation.

PM Narendra Modi has arrived in France for a two-day official visit from February 10 to 12, where he will co-chair the AI Action Summit on Tuesday. PM Modi shared a post on X and said, “Landed in Paris a short while ago. Looking forward to the various programmes here, which will focus on futuristic sectors like AI, tech and innovation.”

Regarding the AI Summit, PM Modi had said, “In Paris, I look forward to co-chairing the AI Action Summit, a gathering of the world leaders and global tech CEOs, where we will exchange views on collaborative approach to AI technology for innovation and larger public good in an inclusive, secure and trustworthy manner.”

PM Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron will co-lead the AI Action Summit and engage in discussions in both restricted and delegation formats. They will also address the India-France CEO’s Forum.

The summit aims to create a structure for overseeing the fast-evolving technology as countries vie for supremacy in the field. They will also address the India-France CEO’s Forum.

On Wednesday, the leaders will visit the Mazargues War Cemetery in Marseille to honor martyred Indian soldiers who fought and sacrificed their lives in World War I.

Moving forward, they will open India’s first Consulate in Marseille before traveling to Cadarache, home to the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), an advanced research initiative in which India is a member of a consortium of partner nations, including France, dedicated to harnessing energy for the benefit of the world.

Following the visit to France, PM Modi would proceed on a two-day visit to the United States at the invitation of President Donald Trump.
