Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be inaugurating Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025 on 4th January, at around 11 AM, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The theme of the Mahotsav is ‘Building a Resilient Rural India for a Viksit Bharat 2047’ and the motto being “गांव बढ़े, तो देश बढ़े”.
The Mahotsav is scheduled from 4th to 9th January and will celebrate Rural India’s entrepreneurial spirit and cultural heritage. Through various discussions, workshops, and masterclasses it aims to enhance rural infrastructure, create self-reliant economies, and foster innovation within rural communities.
Its goals are to foster economic stability and financial security within rural communities, particularly in North-East India, by enhancing financial inclusion and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
Its key focus would be to empower rural women through entrepreneurship and bring together government officials, thought leaders, rural entrepreneurs, artisans, and stakeholders from diverse sectors to build a roadmap for collaborative and collective rural transformation.
It would also encourage discussions around harnessing technology and pioneering techniques to enhance rural livelihoods and highlight India’s rich cultural heritage through vibrant performances and exhibitions.
