Priyanka Gandhi pulled an attention-gaining stunt on parliament by carrying a Palestine engraved bag. A recent incident has sparked controversy in India of Priyanka Gandhi being spotted carrying a bag with the word “Palestine” and a Watermelon symbol to Parliament.

The ruling Bharatiya Janata party has heavily criticized Vadra’s gesture as an attention-gaining stunt to please a particular community. In a statement, BJP MP Sambit Patra said it was an attempt to appease a particular community. He even posted a collage of Prime Minister Modi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra comparing them with each other.

Vadra has been seen as a way to support the Palestinian people. However, the Congress party is yet to respond to the criticism, but the incident has already sparked controversies and debates on social media with the users weighing on the issue.
