Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, shared a photograph from the event, showcasing Sindhu and Datta dressed in exquisite traditional wedding attire, radiating happiness as they embarked on their new journey together.

Shekhawat, who attended the ceremony, posted the moment on his X handle, writing, “Pleased to have attended the wedding ceremony of our Badminton Olympic Champion PV Sindhu with Venkata Datta Sai in Udaipur last evening and conveyed my wishes & blessings to the couple for their new life ahead.”

PV Sindhu is one of India’s most accomplished athletes, with a string of prestigious accolades. Among her many achievements, she has earned five World Championship medals, including a historic gold in 2019, making her the first Indian woman to achieve this milestone. Recently, Sindhu ended a title drought by securing victory at the Syed Modi International in Lucknow, further demonstrating her enduring skill and dominance in the sport. Her wedding marks a new and exciting chapter in her already remarkable journey.

Sindhu’s father shared that while the families have known each other for a long time, the wedding plans were put together in just a month. The couple chose the wedding date carefully, as Sindhu’s training and competition schedule for the upcoming year is already packed.
