Union minister of parliamentary affairs Kiren Rijiju lashes out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who claimed that Rahul Gandhi wanted to stop the proceedings by causing “tamasha” while MPs from other parties, such as the TMC and SP, wanted to participate in debate and discussion in Parliament.
“Rahul Gandhi enjoys creating a tamasha and abusing the Prime Minister, but other MPs have responsibilities towards the people who have elected them. All he has to do is create a tamasha here and then go abroad to enjoy his holidays,” the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs tweeted.
About, Rahul Gandhi’s mock interview, the minister stated that the Congress leader has “nothing to lose because he can’t feel people’s pain and (problem)” with colleagues wearing Adani and PM Modi masks.
The move coincided with the ongoing congressional protests in Parliament over a New York court’s indictment of Adani for bribing Indian government officials to obtain contracts for solar power. The TMC and Samajwadi Party have distanced themselves from the Adani demonstrations and stated that they would like to bring up concerns like the violence at the Sambhal mosque and the persecution of minorities in Bangladesh on the House floor.
