Rahul Gandhi slammed the ruling government over India’s soaring trade deficit, which surged to an all time high of $37.84 billion in November.
Rahul Gandhi alleged that the government plays by favouritism prioritising ‘Crony Buisness’ over ‘Play Fair Businesses’ which gives hard time to small businesses owner’s and the economy as a whole. It has led to weakened manufacturing sector, depreciating currency, record high trade deficits, high interest rates, falling consumption, and rising inflation.
Rahul Gandhi’s allegations have been fueled by the recent US denunciation of businessman Gautam Adani and seven others for allegedly offering bribes to Indian government officials. This has led to Congress party constantly attacking BJP with Rahul Gandhi accusing them of promoting Crony capitalism.
The government has yet to respond to the allegations. The controversy is expected to worsen the coming days . The opposition attack on economic policies and alleged cronyism is likely to cause a major up roar amid the general elections coming.
