Rajnath Singh To Visit Russia For India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission Meet

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to embark on a three-day official visit to Russia from December 8-10, 2024. During his visit, Singh will co-chair the 21st meeting of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military Technical Cooperation (IRIGC-M&MTC) with Russian Defence Minister Andrey Belousov in Moscow on December 10, 2024.

The two leaders will engage in discussions on various aspects of India-Russia defense relations, including military-to-military and industrial cooperation. They will also exchange views on pressing regional and global issues. Singh will commission the Indian Navy’s latest multi-role stealth-guided missile frigate, INS Tushil, at Yantra Shipyard in Kaliningrad on December 9, 2024.

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi will accompany him for the ceremony. Rajnath will also pay his respects at The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow to honour Soviet soldiers killed during World War II. The Defense Minister of India will also engage with members of the Indian community in Russia.
