Actor Ranbir Kapoor has finally opened up about playing Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s much-anticipated ‘Ramayana’ at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah.
The actor expressed his excitement about playing this role. He exclaimed this as a ‘dream come true’ opportunity and assured this to be presented in an authentic and respectable way.
Director Namit Malhotra has been working on this book for more than a decade now to bring the biggest story ever on screen. The film is being co-produced by Yash and Ranbir Kapoor who are also starring in the film besides Sai Pallavi playing as Goddess Sita.
The film will be released in two parts with the former part releasing in Diwali 2026 and the latter part scheduled to release in Diwali 2027.
Director Namit Malhotra released the poster of the movie through his post on Instagram talking about his dedication in bringing the epic to the big screen. He mentioned, “And today, I am thrilled to see it taking shape beautifully as our teams work tirelessly with only one purpose: to present the most authentic, sacred, and visually stunning adaptation of our history, our truth, and our culture – our “RAMAYANA”– for people across the world.”
