Today EAM S Jaishankar met with Mr Khalifa Alharthy, Under Secretary for Political Affairs of Oman in Delhi. They discussed on several topics between India and Oman which are trade, investments, technology, and space.
Officials from the government stated that the discussions concluded earlier in March, and modifying India’s proposal would entail restarting consultations among various ministries to solidify India’s updated position.
The proposed free trade agreement (FTA) between India and Oman has encountered a deadlock, as Oman has requested India to amend its market access proposal for specific products.
