Children’s Day also known as “Bal Diwas”, a day devoted to honor the nation’s child’s innocence, aspirations, and future. Children adored Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru because of his sincere love for kids and his outlook on their future. He was well aware that the strength of any nation resides in the future too, so, after his passing in 1964, his birthday was chosen to be celebrated as Children’s Day.

Lovingly called “Chacha Nehru,” Our very first PM Jawaharlal Nehru, was born on November 14, 1889, in Allahabad (now Prayagraj) hailing from Rich Kashmiri Brahmin family. In 1955, he had also established Children’s Film Society India so that Indian children could see themselves represented. He believed that spending money on children was a wise investment and that no amount was excessive seeing the Nation’s interest.

Throughout the nation, to make the day enjoyable and memorable, schools generally organize special events, including cultural programs, games, and storytelling sessions. The goal is to raise public awareness of children’s rights, care and education.
