On 19 December, the Bhartiya Janata party launched a fresh attack on Congress over its treatment of B.R Ambedkar. BJP Chief J P Nadda began by explaining how Jawaharlal Nehru had “unfiltered hate” towards Ambedkar, listing instances when Congress ignored his contribution.
Nadda said, “Since yesterday, Congress and its ROTTEN eco-system have been EXPOSED by all those who believe in truth, democracy, and social justice. So, I thought of sharing some facts to illustrate the deep CONGRESS HATE towards Dr. Ambedkar.” He further explained how Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had “unfiltered hate” towards Ambedkar. “That is why Pandit Nehru got Dr. Ambedkar defeated TWICE. And, he was proudly writing to people overseas, expressing joy that respected Babasaheb was no longer in the Cabinet,” he said.
His statements came amid the opposition’s relentless attack on Home Minister Amit Shah for allegedly insulting Ambedkar during his Rajya Sabha speech. MPs are protesting that Ambedkar was insulted. In response to this, NDA members have also started protesting. They have taken up protests in a competitive manner. Opposition MPs have climbed the Parliament Building and protested.
On the other hand, BJP MP Sarangi was injured in the head during a scuffle in the Parliament premises. He was immediately taken to the hospital. BJP’s Odisha MP Pratap Sarangi is alleging that Rahul Gandhi pushed him. BJP MPs have also started protesting competitively, saying that Congress insulted Ambedkar. The Parliament premises are buzzing with protests.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi has alleged that they were prevented from entering Parliament. They say that BJP MPs blocked them with their hands. No matter how many ways they are blocked. Rahul Gandhi said that they will not back down.
