Russia Federal Security claimed that it’s has unfolded several plots schemed by Ukranian intelligence services to assassinate high-ranking Russian military officials.
According to FSB they plots involved bombs disguised in daily use things including charger, power banks or documents folders etc. The FSB claimed that it’s prevented several assassination attack on senior military personnel, including a plot to deliver a bomb disguised as a document folder.
The FSB accused the Ukranian intelligence to hire a Russian man to conduct reconnaissance on senior Russian defense officials. Another attempt involved placing a portable charger under the car of military official. This announcement comes after Ukraine confirmed killing lieutenant General Kirilov, Chief of Russia’s Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection Troops, in Moscow earliest this month.
Russia accused Ukraine of trying to weaken it’s morale with Targeted killings. Moscow has vowed revenge and claims that the west is supporting a “terrorist regime” in Kyiv. However, Ukraine sees it’s action as a legitimate way to defend itself against Russia, which it say us a threat to its existence.
