The Samajwadi Party (SP) has announced its decision to part ways with the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, citing Shiv Sena (UBT)’s support for the Babri Mosque demolition as the reason.
This comes after a poster shared by Milind Narvekar, a close aide of Uddhav Thackeray went viral on Friday with the photographs of Uddhav Thackeray, Aaditya Thackeray, and him along with Baba Saheb Thackeray’s quote, “I am proud of who did this.” in support of Babri Mosque demolition on December 6, 1992.
SP claims that after the defeat of their alliance in the Maharashtra Assembly Elections, Shiv Sena(UBT) has taken over a Hinduism agenda. They further stated that this does not leave any difference between Shiv Sena and BJP.
The post has sparked criticism with SP leaders taking to their account on X condemning the post.
