Sri Lankan President Dissanayake To Start His Three-Day India Visit From December 15

President of Sri Lanka H.E. Mr. Anura Kumar Disanayaka, is set to visit India on December 15, 2024 till 17 December 2024. This will be his Bilateral visit to India after the recent Presidential and Parliamentary elections in Sri Lanka.
During his visit president Disanayaka will meet President Draupadi Murmu and hold meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss bilateral issues of mutual interest.
He will also participate in a buisness event in Delhi to promote investment and commercial linkages between India and sri lanka. He is also set to visit bodh gaya.
Sri Lanka holds a important part in Indian foreign policy as it’s closest maritime neighbour to India in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR). In prime minister Modi’s vision of SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region) Sri Lanka holds a central place.
This visit is expected to strengthen India and sri Lanka’s relation and mutually beneficial co-operations between both the countries.
