Today, Three Delhi schools of Delhi received bomb threats via email, leading to a multi-agency search of the premises. The schools targeted include Bhatnagar International School in Paschim Vihar, Cambridge School in Shri Niwas Puri, and Delhi Public School in East of Kailash.
These schools called the Delhi Fire Services at various times, with Bhatnagar International School calling first at 4:21 am, Cambridge School at 6:23 am, and DPS at 6:35 am. Teams from the police, fire department, and bomb detection units, as well as canine squads, were sent to the sites to perform comprehensive inspections.
Parents received texts from school officials telling them not to send their kids to school. Checks were being conducted, a police official stated.
The threats come after 44 schools received fictitious bomb threats on December 9. Those emails were deemed false alarms by the police.
The sender demanded $30,000 in ransom to prevent the detonation of explosives purportedly planted inside the school buildings. However, then it turned out to be a hoax call.
