President-elect Donald Trump named Devin Nunes, a former U.S. lawmaker who now runs Trump’s Truth Social social media platform, to serve as chairman of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board.

Trump stated in a post that Nunes, a longtime Trump supporter who chaired the U.S. House of Representatives Intelligence Committee for a portion of Trump’s first White House term, will continue to lead Truth Social while serving on the advisory panel.

As committee chair, Nunes alleged that the FBI had conspired against Trump while looking into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election, which Trump won over Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

He praised Nunes by stating, as the advisory board’s chairman, “provide me with independent assessments of the effectiveness and propriety of the US Intelligence Community’s activities,”

“Devin will draw on his experience as former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and his key role in exposing the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, to provide me with independent assessments of the effectiveness and propriety of the U.S. Intelligence Community’s activities,” Trump wrote.

Trump also appointed billionaire Bill White as the U.S. ambassador to Belgium and Troy Edgar, a former officer at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and IBM CEO, as the department’s deputy secretary.
