US President-elect Donald Trump nominates Indian-origin Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, Stanford academic and Covid-19 policy critic as the head of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). During the pandemic, he has advocated for changes in public health organizations. He was appointed as a vocal critic of the US government’s Covid-19 policies during the pandemic.
