TTP Captures 18 Pakistani Nuclear Scientists

TTP has revealed the identities of 18 workers, including 8 daily wage laborers and 9 employees, comprising technicians, assistants, and co-cader personnel.

Nearly 18 Pakistani Nuclear scientists were abducted by the TTP on Thursday. The employees were working in the Qabul Khel Atomic Energy mining project in Lakki Marwa.

TTP has released some videos that have gone viral on the social media platform X. The abductees in the video expressed their concern for their safe recovery from Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and were appealing to the government to negotiate with the armed group.

The identity cards of 18 workers have been disclosed by the militant group of which eight are daily wage laborers and nine are employees including technicians, assistants, and Co-cader people.

The workers were abducted near the border area of Pakistan adjacent to Afghanistan. The atomic company’s staff vehicle was also put on fire.

Following the incident, TTP sent a memorandum of its demands to the Pakistani government demanding them to stop the ongoing action against several terrorists. They also threatened to end Pakistan’s nuclear program.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the country’s security agencies to take swift action to apprehend the kidnappers. He further emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining nuclear security, stating that such terrorist attacks will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
