Nearly 400 passengers for more than a day, who were scheduled to board IndiGo flights from Istanbul to Delhi and Mumbai have been stuck at the airport in Türkiye. Travelers have shared their awful experiences on social media. The airline would not specify when they would return home on Friday morning, 39 hours into the delay, even though they were scheduled to depart for Delhi (6E 12) and Mumbai (6E 18) on Wednesday evening.

The chilly weather in Istanbul has added to passenger woes. Sources in the airline said that they have been making necessary arrangements to take care of the stranded passengers. Those with valid Turkish visas are being provided accommodation, while other passengers are being assisted at the airport by accommodating them in lounges. The people on social media have expressed dissatisfaction over the arrangements and measures taken by Indigo.

IndiGo said, “We are aware of the delays on the IndiGo flight connections to Istanbul. We accord the highest priority to customer convenience, and our teams are available at all contact points to assist customers. IndiGo apologizes for the inconvenience caused to the customers.”
