Home Adviser of the Bangladesh Government, Lt Gen (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury while attending an event organised by the Fire Service and Civil Defence at the Purbachal Fire Service and Civil Defence Multipurpose Training Ground in Dhaka, spoke to the journalists, “Peacekeeping forces should be sent to India, not to Bangladesh”.
Responding to a question on Bangladesh’s security, he said that Bangladesh’s sovereignty is under no form of threat. Further, he denied any border tensions claiming everything to be normal. He charged Indian Media for spreading rumours and misinformation about Bangladesh.
