As the political landscape heats up ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Delhi Province convened a significant meeting to discuss key issues affecting the Hindu community.

The meeting, led by VHP State Minister Mr  Surendra Gupta, focused on urging political parties to incorporate essential topics into their election manifestos. Gupta emphasized the importance of these elections, stating that they have a profound impact on the daily lives of citizens across society.

VHP urged every Hindu voter in Delhi to cast their vote with awareness, prioritizing their safety and cultural values. MR. Gupta also highlighted the necessity for various community segments to engage with political parties to advocate for their interests.

VHP has also called upon the Hindu community to participate in this election in large numbers and has said that every Hindu voter of Delhi should vote with awareness for their safety and their values.

The VHP is calling for a comprehensive acknowledgment of these needs in the manifestos of all political parties. In a rallying cry for civic engagement, the VHP encouraged the Hindu community to actively participate in the electoral process, referring to it as an “election yagya” (election fire).

During the meeting, discussions also revolved around the security of the Hindu community. Participants were informed about the preparation of a “Hindu demand letter,” which outlines the community’s expectations from political candidates. VHP leaders instructed attendees to consider these demands carefully when making their voting decisions.

Gupta outlined three critical considerations for voters as they approached the polls on February 5.

  • First, he stressed the importance of maintaining the secrecy and security of their votes.
  • Second, he urged voters to align their choices with the long-term needs of society, cautioning against being swayed by superficial promises or misleading announcements.
  • Lastly, he called for the selection of leaders with a clean public record, emphasizing that candidates should be free from corruption, accessible to the public, and responsive to community issues.

The meeting, presided over by VHP State President Shri Kapil Khanna, saw the participation of several senior members, including State Organization Minister Shri Subodh, Co-Minister Shri Ashok Gupta, and Shri Sunil Suri. Together, they reinforced the message of unity and collective action among Hindu voters.

As the election date approaches, the VHP is mobilizing its members to ensure that the Hindu electorate turns out in large numbers. The organization is committed to providing full support to every Hindu voter, facilitating a smooth voting process.

The VHP’s proactive stance reflects a broader trend of community organizations seeking to influence political discourse and ensure that their constituents’ voices are heard in the electoral arena.

With the stakes high in the upcoming elections, the VHP’s call to action serves as a reminder of the power of collective civic engagement in shaping the future of Delhi.
