VHP expresses concern over declining Hindu birth rates, attributing it to population imbalance, and urges families to take proactive measures to address the issue.

The Central Guidance Board of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) convened today, bringing together prominent saints and leaders from across the nation. This meeting, which serves as the legal unit of the VHP, focused on addressing various religious, social, and cultural challenges faced by the Hindu community globally.

One of the key resolutions from the meeting was the launch of a nationwide awareness campaign aimed at liberating Hindu temples from government control. This initiative was inaugurated at the Bada Sabha in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The saints emphasized the need for all temples to be managed by devotees rather than government authorities, advocating for the repeal of laws that impose government oversight on religious institutions.

Another critical concern raised was the declining birth rate within the Hindu community. The saints attributed this trend to an imbalance in the Hindu population and urged families to take proactive measures. They called for every Hindu family to aim for a minimum of three children, highlighting this as a vital step to ensure the community’s sustainability and growth.

The Central Guidance Board also expressed support for the Central Government’s forthcoming Law Reform Act, which seeks to regulate the extensive powers of the Waqf Board. The saints welcomed this initiative and urged Members of Parliament from all political parties to collaborate in passing this legislation.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the VHP and associated organizations to the long-standing goal of reclaiming the three significant temples in Ayodhya, Mathura, and Kashi. This commitment, rooted in the resolutions of the Dharma Sansad since 1984, remains a priority for the Hindu community.

In addition to these key issues, the saints discussed the importance of social harmony, environmental protection, and the promotion of Hindu values through family enlightenment. They emphasized the need for self-awareness and the responsibilities of good citizenship as essential components for fostering national character and societal development.

Among the notable attendees at the meeting were Jagatguru Shankaracharya Vasudevanand Saraswati Ji, Mahamandaleshwar Vishwatmanand Bharti Ji, Swami Chidanand Muni Ji, and representatives from various Hindu sects and communities, including the Mahant of Nirmohi Akhara, Rajendra Das Ji, and Pujya Mahant Ravindra Puri Ji from the Mahanirvani sect.

The discussions and resolutions from this meeting reflect the VHP’s ongoing efforts to address the needs and challenges of the Hindu community while promoting a unified approach to cultural and religious issues. The Central Guidance Board’s initiatives aim to empower devotees and ensure that Hindu values and traditions are preserved and promoted in contemporary society.

As the VHP moves forward with these initiatives, the organization seeks to engage the broader Hindu community in its efforts to reclaim religious autonomy, enhance population growth, and foster a harmonious society rooted in traditional values.

The press conference that followed the meeting featured esteemed figures such as Jagatguru Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Avdheshanand Giri Ji, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Vishokanand Ji, VHP Central President Shri Alok Kumar Ji, and Central General Secretary Shri Bajrang Lal Bagda Ji. They shared insights on the guidance provided by the revered saints regarding pressing issues affecting Hindu society.
