Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Navy Day extended wishes to the Indian Navy and lauded them for their contribution. PM Modi expressed his admiration and gratitude towards the Navy and said their commitment ensures the safety, security and prosperity of the nation.
He wrote on X, “On Navy Day, we salute the valiant personnel of the Indian Navy who protect our seas with unmatched courage and dedication. Their commitment ensures the safety, security and prosperity of our nation. We also take great pride in India’s rich maritime history.”
He highlighted their role in working towards the nation’s interest. Emphasizing on their contribution in the Indo-Pak war, he greeted the valiant personnel of the Indian Navy. “Chalo nayi misaal ho, badho naya kamaal ho, jhuko nahi, ruko nahi, badhe chalo, badhe chalo’. He added, “Every Indian is filled with energy with your roar, I extend my special wishes to all the members of the Indian Navy.”
In recognition of the Navy’s pivotal role in the nation’s defense, Navy Day is celebrated. The Indian Navy’s valor in dealing severe casualties to the enemy during the 1971 war against Pakistan was celebrated on December 4.
