Ahead of a political tussle between BJP and AAP over Delhi Assembly elections, Ex-chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal Allegedly the centre for vindictive politics against AAP by not including Delhi’s Tableau in the Republic Day parade. The Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP have always clashed over the exclusion of Delhi’s tableau since 2022, and it has also not been included in the 2025 Republic Day Parade.
AAP convenor blamed the Central Government for Spilling out frustration and anger against the people of Delhi. He said, “Delhi’s tableau should be embraced in every Republic Day parade as it is the National Capital.” He questioned, “What type of Politics has been played?”. He asked, ‘“Why do they (BJP) hate Delhi and its people so much and “Why Should the people Of Delhi vote for Such a Government?”
Kejriwal said that the BJP had no narratives, programmes or issues to fight in the Delhi Assembly elections. He further blamed the Central Government for abusing him and his party every day and night. He questioned, “Why should Delhi choose them for power?” He contested, “Why was Delhi Stopped from Participating in the Republic Day parade?”
After Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the Centre intentionally excluded Delhi’s tableau from the Republic Day Parade, the Ministry of Defence clarified that the tableau selection process is fair and unbiased.
The Defence Ministry said that the selection process is based on merit and creativity, not political affiliations. Punjab’s participation, regardless of being ruled by AAP, illuminates the fairness of the process of selection.
